I use VS Code daily and I have never had performance issues. That obviously doesn’t apply to all folks. Also, it seems presumptuous to prescribe what appropriate solutions are for all people of all time. There are many, many places where an

We completely renovated our apartment about 3 years ago. We used Sweet Home 3D to help visualize our kitchen as we took out a wall and rearranged things. Being able to model it and then “explore” it in 3D was really helpful to settle on our

Slippers have been a game changer for staying warm. We live in a concrete apartment building and the floors are always cold in the winter. Insulating my feet is by far the easiest way to stay warm without heating the entire house to a "

Here in BC there are very strict distracted driving laws. You can get a ticket even if you are sitting stopped at a stop light and you do something on your phone. I fail to see how this is _any_ different than interacting with screens on so

I personally think that’s fine. There are still many benefits to an open source but no contributions model (such as others can see how you did things, it can be forked). Taking contributions requires effort on the part of the maintainer and

I'm not sure we'll ever eclipse the awesomeness of the VB6 error: "Method ~ of object ~ failed". On a more serious note, error messages is something I always try to keep in mind on in code reviews. Most error messages th

Here in BC we have fairly tough distracted driving laws (ie don’t even think of touching your cell phone while at the wheel). Yet the proliferation of touch screens in cars seems like it’s almost exactly the same type of distraction as look
