Humans have a right to ownership of their property which includes their bodies and who they interact with. That includes having the right to discriminate. While it may be unkind, it is a greater evil to force someone to interact with someon

I argue that using force to stop free men from living free is a greater moral evil than being out and about, also when there is contagious disease in the world. All men are equal children of creation; no man is born with the right to stand

I’m not sure, but I’d expect Swedish statistics to update the same day, as we have very little if any record keeping on paper, and databases are centralised here.

Let’s please keep HN discussion civil and communicate in good faith, without snark and sarcasm. HN is such a rare community for this reason. You are free to argue why the stance my country Sweden has taken is misinformed or unwise but let’s

There has been 25 documented cases of COVID reinfection worldwide, so assuming you had it without actually doing tests is likely false. There are many diseases with similar symptoms in the upper respiratory system, and given no more than 25

Let’s try to keep snark and sarcasm out of the discussion, and instead argue out of data or first principles. HN is a rare bastion of light on the internet - a refuge of civil discussion

It’s true that those who don’t understand what a HTTP cookie is, are unable to make informed decisions about them. Forcing those who reply to HTTP messages to ask if they can send a header asking if they can save a cookie does not change th

Would it be possible to totally close the border to for example Germany, France, or Czechia, like NZ can do? I highly doubt it but am open to ideas. It would certainly be immoral to use force to hinder native citizens from travelling out of

Keeping cookies is voluntary - the HTTP header can only ask if you wish to keep it. Most popular user agents just keep all cookies by default, but it’s by no means given.

A HTTP response may ask the user agent to keep a cookie. The user agent is free to do so, reject it, or ask the user (as Konqueror did). It is not the responsibility of everyone responding to HTTP requests to ask to ask “I ask you if I can

Let’s remember that the http response asks the user agent to keep the cookie - it is voluntary to do so. Browsers may not have white lists but rather always set cookies, but it is not a given. For this reason, I wish my government would hav

I agree it’s sad how far this world is from perfection, and that so many don’t know about the benefits of owning capital. I wish I could convince people to spend only half of what they spend on weed and alcohol on buying stocks - it would b
