The free tiers for both are quite extensive actually, so we easily fit in, even with a very large amount of content.

> Keep in mind that a desire "to improve world" is a synonym for a "lust for power." The first is a positive way of putting it, the second is a pejorative, but it is the same thing. This is simply not true. Many peopl

I know it's very early, but just curious if anyone is working on a node binding for this, or if one exists already? Would love to try it out in our stack, but it would require a javascript interface.

Just out of curiosity, what do people typically slam google for? I feel like I have a lot of trust in their services -- a hell of a lot more than facebook, and somewhere around on par with apple. Sure, they collect a bunch of your data, but

Came here just to see about RAW support -- I think that's the only thing stopping this from being a legit competitor to lightroom, which says a lot so nice work guys! One other thing I would miss as well is the ability to auto-correct

Marionette has a great community, and is super easy to get help with things. I've been involved in the marionette community for a while and it has always been absolutely wonderful. You can almost always get help directly from the core

If anyone from Digital Ocean is reading this, please help if you can! A lot of developers really want to check out CoreOS, and having it supported on DO would help so much. Let us give you money!

I feel like this app would benefit massively from the touch of an actual designer rather than using default bootstrap. When you are trying to write, you want a minimal, elegant, and non-distracting interface, and those tacky and jarring glo

Hah! Same - I got to the end of it and was like this has to be a joke, but honestly maybe it isn't... then scrolled back up top and saw that it was. But I definitely could have been convinced that it was serious.

This is so, so good. An upvote alone is not enough to get across how much I appreciate this. These are the principles I've built the plans for my entire life around, these principles are at the core of who I am as a person. Seeing such

Complete shenanigans. Backbone is still heavily used in production for tons of "advanced" web apps. You can't just make statements like this because you decided you like angular or something better.

Marionette takes care of this quite well for very complex views, results in much cleaner markup than angular etc, and is built on backbone. Give it a shot.

This is awesome, and you are awesome Patrick. Gotta have serious respect when the founder of Stripe, who I have to assume is quite a busy guy, shows up to personally respond to comments, encourage new features, and drop his personal email.

Hey so think about this -- what if instead of a "staging repo" you just used branches? This is what they are supposed to be used for. In fact, you can make a pull request from a branch, then other developers can review it and the

Entirely agreed, this is what I was about to say as well. Being able to use html templates for me makes apps much less confusing and much more organized. Moving your html into your javascript just doesn't seem right. If there was a way

Ok so let me post an opinion from the other side. I think that histories that represent actual history in git are actually not useful at all. Let's look at an example. I make a commit that introduces a bug and contains a typo. Someone

Same here, the ui is definitely a huge selling point for slack. IRC just looks terrible, every client I have tried looks bad and connections are unreliable. Slack is a great solution for that.

For me the big difference is markdown. I rely so heavily on markdown for writing, and having a native platform where I can drop markdown and have it parsed correctly, and also get feedback/edits from others is huge. For example, I'

I've gotta agree with you here. If you are a professional developer and are still writing non-templated html, I'd be surprised. I think it's crazy that all these tools keep coming out for handling vanilla html and css, while

This isn't so much praise for angular as it is for establishing app structure conventions , something that has been around for a long time before angular and has nothing to do with angular itself. Rails is another example of a framewo

I haven't used a sprite in quite a while. Gzipped svgs do the job quite well, are very light, and you don't ever have to worry about resolution. The only downside is if/when you have to support IE8.
