Well also, my site is built with Gatsby and comes in at <1MB (just) but I bet if you told people it was Gatsby you’d get the stink-eye. “Ugh, dirty framework, what’s wrong with no-JS?” I mean never mind that my internal page links load i

While agreeing with your general principle, I think you're being unfair. Two hours a day, every day, is a lot of time. I barely watch television and still, if you asked me to find two more hours every day I'd tell you that you

Don’t laugh: iCloud Drive. Honestly, it works. Never had a bit of trouble. I might not be a mega power user, but all my stuff is there and I just don’t think about it. I moved away from Dropbox about 2 years ago – because I got sick of the

A fine option, which I also endorse. In all seriousness, here’s what I do to combat Insidious Mailing List Spam. It’s kinda simple. 1. Get one email address for friends and family. Never ever post it online. Never use it for any shopping or

Cool idea I suppose, but for $5/month wouldn’t I just not sign up to those mailing lists in the first place? Or get another email address? This doesn’t feel very sustainable.

The rage-part might have been a slight exaggeration. But why would I use a platform that doesn’t work ? The whole point of the damned place is to sell stuff, and recently – this wasn’t an isolated incident – I’ve found it to be markedly ba

Strong disagree. eBay has become a cesspool. I finally rage-closed my account after carefully listing a thing, monitoring the auction, being happy when it sold, and then having the buyer casually tell me that they didn’t need it after all.

I don’t think it’s ever been shown that Apple did this at all , let alone maliciously. If anyone has a source to the contrary, we need it here please. And I mean a documented source, not hearsay. Edit: there’s discussion below.

The problem is that someone creates a sheet, locks all the cells, forces a bunch of people to use it via some process, and then either a) never touches it again or b) leaves the organisation and doesn’t tell anyone the unlock password. Exam

Actually I’m annoyed now when a device comes with a charger. To the point where I say out loud, to myself, “oh for fu...”. Nobody needs any more chargers, and if you do, they’re a fiver. It’s a preposterous waste that needs to stop. ( Total
