Thanks for the reply, very helpful. Well done for maintaining that publishing momentum. That's a good strategy it seems, spending a little time each day, but enough to maintain a weekly video at least. Will give it a go and see if it

Thanks for this Micael, very helpful info and your channel is pretty cool too! Regarding the weekly video, are you saying you’d spend about 15-20 hours per week on that one video to get to the status you were at last year? I’ve heard that r

From the article : "On this view, the fact that a Jew discovered psychoanalysis didn’t mean it was a 'Jewish science,' any more than Einstein’s e = mc2 was a Jewish equation." This is a strange statement to write because

This is cool Robin! Do you also have access to solar data? Eg, I am a UK homeowner w/ a recent solar installation on my roof, would be curious to see how that looks too.

This was studied decades ago. IIRC the effective bit rate, at least with the detector tech at that time, was insanely slow, like a few bytes per hour (or maybe even per day).

I often wonder how different our technology tree would be without random but critical accidents like this. “In 1901, Edgar Purnell Hooley was walking in Denby, Derbyshire, when he noticed a smooth stretch of road close to an ironworks. He w

Wow how’s you get such a huge jump in views? my best video has 8k views, coming in at between 100-1000 per month depending how many impressions the algorithm decides to allot to me.

The page isn’t loading right now for me. But if it’s the same manual I had for that same printer, it was hysterical. For example at one point they showed how to generate arbitrary graphics for the 7 (I think) pin head by encoding as binary.

I haven't actually made money on it (yet), but this HN comment of mine last year had a positive impact (not even a post, just a comment on a thread) : https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27004577#27004828 I have a mus

A former coworker of mine was a huge fan of functional programming, and also deeply allergic to mutation. So if you reused variables like that you’d get an angry earful. Though if you replaced each subsequent line with df1 and df2 and so on
