These are carefully cherry picked. Your diesel misconceptions link only addresses soot particulates but not NOX or other toxins.

First paper only covers CO2. Second paper only considers fine-size (<20 nm) particulates (and not larger sizes like 100nm+) of direct injection cars, and is a bit misleading by comparing six cars to a single carefully-selected diesel car

This doesn’t even touch on NOx emissions, which are way worse (at least for me). Though you appear to have some vested interest in the proliferation of Diesel engines.

Please cut this diesel apologist Bullshit! Your defense of diesel entirely ignores exhaust and emissions. Sorry to be rude but this is a very personal and emotional topic to me and you’ve really pissed me off by saying “They are superior to

There’s more to it than that. You can build more houses just as easily as building more cars. Houses also appreciate in areas where undeveloped land is in abundance. The disparity comes from the lifespan and relative ongoing maintenance for

As a pedestrian and driver in London (mostly pedestrian), it seems to me that many cyclists have a sense of entitlement. I’ve had cyclists plow through zebra crossings (crosswalks where stopping is mandatory) at full speed just inches away

I’m not using JK Rowling as an example of persistence here. She’s my example of a novice author who started with nothing more than an idea, a story she wanted to tell , and wound up writing a game-changing series.

Nice, congrats on finishing your draft! Yeah, I’m finding it very difficult to decide what to keep, what to rip out entirely, what to rewrite. I blew way past my 75k word target to about 98k words now, and still feel like there’s a bunch mo

The article title is actually “No, you probably don’t have a book in you”. But the intended meaning of the article is more like “no, you probably don’t have a bestselling book in you.” Disclaimer - I’ve written a kids sci-fi novel in the

London doesn’t have the annual property taxes on held real estate that exist in the USA. There is a one-off stamp duty at purchase time. But if you buy a property, you can hold it without further taxes. *there is something called council ta

My friend in college gave a similar analogy as the quote in the first paragraph. He said psychadelics can open the door but then you go thru the door. You don’t just keep re-opening the door.

Not ideal, but in some cases manageable for several days. Eg, I remember doing 3 qualifiers on Mon, Wed, and Fri in one week, so a small nap and then back to studying for the next one. Not a fun week, that.
