I use Qwen 3.6 on a remote GPU that my work offers. Works fine. Slow and steady, works hard, gets the job done. Probably better at diagnosing than making new code, but whatever.

Hey, I'd say "hire this guy", but we already did. This is an excellent write up of excellent work by an excellent colleague. Thanks yadutaf!

Swiss trains can, but while stopped. There's a station on the main line that loads full sized cars with tanks on them onto little bougies that take them up into the mountains for training.

This is one of the clearest example of diminishing returns I've ever seen. It comes up everywhere. I wonder if this is a natural law, or emergent behavior of complex systems?

Yesterday I dumped some data in via ``` quotes and finished with a minimax question (e.g. "which rows that add up to 96 minimize the column called disk"). One shotted. The day before I half diagnosed a cloud-init problem to the po

It's not a theory. It's socialism and it works fine in Scandinavia, Switzerland, and a bunch of other places.

Super interesting. I use data center GPUs at work, but I didn't know anything about this stuff. I also use Qwen 3.7 27b at work and I agree with the author: it is perfectly capable of the jobs I give it.

My aunt had her American Express die on vacation and they had a new one in her hands, in her hotel room, at 8 am the next morning. Priorities. Sigh.

It should not be a surprise that if you hire Ive to design something, it's gonna look like an iPad. It should not be a surprise that Ferrari stakeholders don't want an iPad car. This is just gross incompetence all around. Above al

Nope. For production, you want to reduce risk and variation. DACs are already available in about 5 sizes up to the max 7m length, why would you terminate any other size in the field?

Too bad they didn't mention that while the cable is direct attach, the ends each have an EEPROM in them saying what the cable is. This EEPROM can be a source of immense frustration, if it's got the wrong data in it, or if both end
