I don't think people will care until those places can do awesome things we can't do. If they can buy a $500 TV that does everything their computers do (stream UHDTV films, games, etc.) then maybe they'll care. But, until then, so what? And

That's how most Xbox games work. There was a bit of a uproar about it when the service started. Players were miffed of paying to play games they already bought, and not even getting dedicated servers. That quickly died down.

I once saw a janitor who always had more work to do. She worked 40 hours a week and then did the extra that the boss asked her about on any given day. She could've told him that cleaning desks wasn't in the contract. Or she could've reporte

I get you. If I were a drug dealer or bootlegger, I'd be holding out for legalization also. But, and I may be completely wrong, let's think it out. Look at who you're employing. Likely school dropouts who have been taught violence is the ap

I would agree, if we were just talking self-identified phone surveys or something. But we're talking about people saying their children shouldn't learn about those things. I can't imagine purposefully making your children grow up thinking s

A service that did bandwidth intense tasks for me. If I'm on my cell phone, I'd like to be able to take a link to an mp3 file hosted anywhere, and have an "upload to Google Music/Amazon/etc" option. The key would be to have you, the service

It definitely looks like you're right, and that Ars seems to be misstating this. But I also agree, it's still a big deal. What industry hasn't attempted to get every inch out of law that they could, even if it's apparent they will eventuall

I actually thought Brosnan played a great Bond, but just suffered from a set of bad scripts. I only enjoyed GoldenEye. And as much as I enjoyed Casino Royale, I really wish they would've let Quentin Tarantino make it with Brosnan like he wa

It'd probably be better to first ask cops, and then ask officials. If cops give examples, and officials say none, then you can ask officials about the examples cops have. But ask them plainly first. Give them a chance to be honest with you.

States like CA, TX, and NY still have their say, AND states like OH, VA, and FL. It only takes 11 states to win the electoral college (CA, TX, NY, FL, IL, PA, OH, MI, GA, NJ, NC), but those never agree, and likely won't, that's when other s
