I would agree. As an aside: Isn't the subservience part of what many employers are looking for? I think some are even looking for it legitimately. Of course those aren't the best place to work. I have always felt like there is a fine line t

I don't believe this is going to be a game changer for two reasons. The first one is that the processor can't be that much of the total cost of a system. So these aren't going to be that much cheaper than a regular netbook unless they have

I wasn't responding to you directly. Your comment put forth the assertion that God said something. He didn't. It's not in the Bible and though some Christians claim it is true, that doesn't make it so. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. PS

Him and the rest of our society. Edit: Not to seem too negative, but I have just run into this attitude in most people that aren't introverts. There are advantages and disadvantages to both sides of that coin, but I feel like the introvert

I don't necessarily want to start a flame war, but it is inaccurate to say "God said so in that holy book." People have added up the number of years that are mentioned in the Bible and claimed that the earth is only that old. A decent amoun

But the point isn't that String#titlecase can't do the right thing here. I assume there is an implementation of titlecase that will work with ß. But I can't think of an Array#sum that will work for [1, "two"]. Of course your :) might have m

The business model of "We are going to create X for Y", where X is a service like YouTube, never works. After viewing the intro video I saw that you can do things like create private communities and invite people to join, and I thought that

I think the interesting bit here is whether the technology in the Kindle is actually infringing on the audio rights. It is a legal question that is going to need to define if the software generated voice is the same thing as an audio record

This post reminded me of an JoS post here: http://www.joelonsoftware.com/items/2008/01/22.html At the time I wanted to see where I could apply the 5 why's, but never got around to it.

I find the introduction of a hybrid polling/interrupt driven network interface really interesting. Mainly because we did the same work in 2003 on NetBSD for a wireless router that never made it to market. We were at the opposite end of th
