Agreed. The UI design isn't even worth mentioning if they really make it seamless to go from device to device. I'd love to leave my phone in another room and just use my tablet/computer while at home.

What I keep wondering is how long these various exotic forms of ice survive outside the conditions in which they were created. If XV quickly changes back into regular ice this is a cool but seemingly impractical topic of research.

I think that's a big differentiator in people's CLI preferences. When I see prompts that don't include $HOSTNAME, and people eschewing tabs for multiplexing in all cases I just assume they rarely manage remote machines.

This is actually deceptive on their part. That upgrade is for the Pro version of 5. It's unclear if it will be possible to just get the regular one at an upgrade price.
