I remember when I first read the tagline and thought it was a bit cheap, but later realised it's actually quite am accurate and appropriate description of the functionality.

I think some exposure to ML is going to be pretty important to most areas in IT, including security. A bit like how whether you want to be in coding, security, ops, management etc, you probably should know a bit of software architecture. I

This is an inspiring attitude. I used to be stuck in a rut of "there's no point starting to build / learn a thing because there will almost certainly never be a result of substance". After a while I realised that every u

Hey, cool product. I know that marketing success is not predicated on good grammar, nevertheless I felt moved to suggest a minor edit to your blurb: "HyperDX helps engineers figure out why production is broken, faster. HyperDX centrali

I have two kids, 5 and 8. In brief, I love computers and the internet but I genuinely fear social media and the whole dopamine loop hole along with various other social media risks. So my over-arching strategy has been to emphasise creativi

For anyone interested in this subject / genre I recommend "The War Game" by Peter Watkins [1] Also by Peter Watkins, "The Journey" (aka "Resan") [2]. Quite long, that one. Threads is one of relatively few

Even with the easiest I think my 7 year old would get flustered. Ideally I'd be able to slow it down. (ps. love the joke in the list of example texts to use...)

This is really fun! I feels nice to play - quite a satisfying interaction. I feel like it would be a good way for my kids to get a bit of typing practise, but I think the difficulty is set too hard for them. I can't see a way to change

Also came to see if anyone mentioned Threads, the film. Really great film, but certainly leaves an impact on the viewer. Slack has a feature called 'Threads' and for a long time after they introduced it, every time I opened the ap

There is a desktop app for Bitwarden, but it is Electron based (on Linux, at least). A cli tool is a good idea though.

It was tiling window managers that got me on Manjaro. A few years ago I got interested in he idea of tiling WMs and Manjaro shipped an iso with i3wm as default. At the time it was intended as an experiment really, but I liked i3wm so much I

Is anyone trying to tie users to multiple devices, and consequently identify both fingerprints as being from one user? I.e. Let's say I visit HN on both my laptop and on my mobile phone, each will have a very different fingerprint, but

I am on board with this. You can do someone a serious injury while cycling. Also, you might kill yourself by drunk cycling. And that is likely to have a huge effect on lots of people you care about. It's just a bad idea all round...
