I don’t understand why people want to block bots, especially from a major player like Tencent, while at the same time doing everything they can to be indexed by Google

These days, it just makes sense to use the Zig toolchain instead.

The new I/O interface makes printing a simple “Hello, world!” more complicated, but once you get used to it, the design is actually very clean, versatile, and future-proof. Since 0.15, though, I feel too dumb for Zig’s ArrayList.

Yikes, why introduce a dependency on Rust just for that?

Poly1305 is straightforward to implement and also scales with the width of SIMD vectors, just like other polynomial-based MACs. BLAKE3 is nice but tricky to implement and optimize; a textbook implementation performs very poorly. Avoid using

There's already ChaCha20-Poly1305-SIV which is way more elegant: https://github.com/C2SP/C2SP/blob/main/chacha20-poly1305-siv...

For some reason I'm less excited about this that I was with the Qwen models.

Is it just me or is it super slow?

I'm a little bit confused. I subscribed to the $50 plan. It's super fast for sure, but rate limits kick in after just a couple requests. completely defeating the fact that responses are fast. Did I miss something?

Using LLMs is just a different way of programming. Think of it as a high-level language, similar to how conventional programming languages relate to assembly. Getting tasks done, tasks you would never have had the time or courage to tackle

I tried to use it to rate the difficulty level of coding tasks (for InferSwitch, an LLM router), but it performed far worse than Qwen2.5-Coder-7B (but sure, 1.5B vs 7B)

Zig. Zig produces extremely small, optimized WebAssembly modules. The language includes WebAssembly-specific built-ins like @wasmMemoryGrow, and its entire standard library offers first-class support for WebAssembly. Zig can also optimize c

Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with Microsoft Clippy. This post is about a tool for a programming language called Rust.

Pretty much my experience as well, although I would highly recommend Roo Code + Claude (via the API) to build entire projects, and Claude for "batch" tasks or finalization. AI models are trained on data that can be 1 or 2 years ol

I got the opposite experience. Not with Opus (too expensive), but with Sonnet. I got things done way more efficiently when using Sonnet with Roo than with Claude Code.

Anonymized DNSCrypt and Oblivious DoH are designed to keep your IP address hidden from resolvers, and there are DNS relays located all over the world. If you truly care about privacy, use anonymized DNS, not DoH.
