In its current state, Static TypeScript is a toy compared to AssemblyScript. It doesn’t support much of the original TypeScript features, while AssemblyScript is getting pretty close to the original TypeScript. AssemblyScript was also speci

I'm hoping for it to get more exposure. The fact that Mozilla was behind Rust played a lot in Rust becoming popular. But a lot of nice languages have stayed under the radar, and have been eventually abandoned. To succeed, Zig needs mat

The main advantage of Rust is that once the app compiles, it's likely to run quite smoothly. The syntax is strict, but this avoids some bugs that would have taken time to spot at runtime. For some use cases, this is a time saver. For e

Hard to predict what the "Future" is. Rust fills a niche. It's not the answer to everything. The learning curve is steep, and for many applications, the benefits are nonexistent. Although you can use Rust (or anything, even B

Is this going to replace wasmer's WebAssembly interfaces? As a library implementer, I'm a bit lost about how to expose functions from a wasm module to the outside world. wasmer's interfaces have the advantage of being very si

How does it balance tasks across CPU cores? The thing I like in Go is that I don’t have to worry about that, it’s all automatic.

Rust has evolved from something safe and simple (once you grasp the different type of pointers) to something way less accessible. Rust source code is now full of annotations, and very hard to read and maintain. Traits have evolved from a

You can leave that to `auto`. A VPN creates a virtual network between two machines. Each end needs an IP address. In your example, `10.8.0.254` is the address that will be assigned to the server and `10.8.0.2` is the address that will be as

While nice to have, this is not terribly useful in the context of a VPN. PFS would prevent the following scenario: you’re suspected to be an axe murderer, the police asks the cloud provider to tap your VPS traffic, and, later, asks for a du

It's probably completely unrelated. DoH is easy to block. They can look at SNI and cut DoH connections. Being able to access all the content is far more valuable than hostnames.
