Nothing wrong with highlighting inefficiencies. I really like VS Code, but it does suffer from the same bloat as other electron/JS apps which is the bloat that can have a noticeable impact over time.

I'd just like to see the footprint (storage, memory & performance) of JS/Electron et all apps to be reduced to the levels of applications written with traditionally compiled code.

I would say the only electron app I've seen that isn't a total slug/resource hog is the Discord desktop app (the mobile app is okay but has some weird quirks.( VS Code is pretty ok too - though there is a definite performance

You're better off just backing up to the cloud and wiping. Having hidden data can be compromising if they discover the presence of it.

We have been...just right now the prevailing 'wisdom' is based upon a time when NiCad batteries were popular. Battery tech has changed faster than the time it takes for that info to be updated within the public consciousness

I just use both pen and paper & Simplenote and connect it to apps like Nv etc. It's free (for now), open source (mostly?) and lets me sync across desktop/laptop/mobile. Also has a nice export tool which I can use should I

Except apple use that rationale/excuse for not having touch screens on their laptop...yet the touchbar is basically a worse version in someways as now you have to take your eye off ur screen to find the buttons.
