Honestly, I can't remember. But more than happy to change it with better (or for that matter... any) reasoning!

I'm the guy who keeps/maintains the spreadsheet. ALL of the exit values (except 1 or 2) are my personal estimates and educated guesses... nothing more. I'm always happy to revise them with better information!

Almost like the recent Times (UK) article on the Catholic Church scandal... written by "Roger Boyes". There was a lengthy debate in my office if it was actually an early April Fools' joke.

I generally was VERY conservative in my acquisition numbers. (I could easily make the case for bumping all the non-public prices by 50+%) The way I've generally looked at it is that YC has generally broken even or had a small profit so far

Hey, everyone. I'm the guy who originally put this spreadsheet together. Couple things: - I welcome corrections! - Acquisition prices are likely wildly wrong since they're just my guesses. (Again, I welcome guidance/corrections) - This li

At a previous employer, we were supposed to be in at 8:30am. Our boss even spoke to myself and a friend if we regularly arrived at 8:45, even if we didn't have any specific appointments. (And we stayed plenty late at the end of the day.

I suspect that YC data is similar to TechStars. TechStars is actively making it public, which is probably a smart move to encourage some budding startups to apply. As part of a project last year I tried to collate information on a bunch of

As I understand it, being "lucky" as an angel involves (in the first place) quality deal flow. With Paul's background I would bet he's got incredible deal flow. (There are a lot of other things too, I'm sure, but this is a big one.)

I'm a big fan of Songkick, myself. I used to subscribe to a number of newsletters to try and find the gigs I wanted to go to. Now I get an e-mail from Songkick whenever an artist that I listen to is in town, and I certainly do use their

I'm a US citizen but currently live in the UK. I'm more interrogated going back to the US than I am any other country. (And that list includes everything from Ireland to the Ukraine.) Personally I don't think citizens should be made to

I saw the author speak; he's a smart guy and is tackling a tough subject. There are a lot of reasons most people (including myself) develop screwed-up attitudes toward risk. The media is most certainly one, but it also deals with natural

Probably not... re-fueling is a very time-intensive process. (The reactors I worked on were designed to be re-fueled every 25-30 years.) 250 tons for a 1 gigawatt constant output seems more likely to me.

I think you can post three links. Considering the full potential of the web (cheap storage and easy access) why is LinkedIn still limiting itself to just textual information? I'm not expecting them to do it, but it would be a natural exten

LinkedIn should let users post an online "portfolio" of their work. This would be hugely useful for designers, but could be extrapolated to a general solution for everyone. Programmers could link to Github repos and/or production projects
