I'm sorry this page needs to exist, it's partly my fault. I created the first "large scale" SPF record (for eBay and PayPal), and agreed that this was the best way to do it. I guess the people after me agreed too, beca

I've worked at a DevTools company and been the CEO of one too. Here's my thoughts: I agree that they need to be open source. But that makes it really hard to make a successful business. Sure, there are examples of success, but

Yes it is, because of the way they have structured the program. This is not like a car lease. With a car lease, the total of payments plus residual is more than the cash purchase price. That is how the financing company makes money. But

Fun story. Way back in 2008, I tried to make it exactly that. I worked on figuring a way to inject the reddit comments onto any page. Sadly at the time the JS ecosystem just wasn't mature enough to allow users to log into reddit an

Except in this case you're not paying any extra. In fact it's cheaper to lease and then own an iPhone with this program because of the time value of money. It's an interest free loan for 2/3 of the price.

I have a pretty good working knowledge of the internals of Postgres, but this just confused me. I think it's too busy to understand. At the very least, it would be cool if there were a "slow down" button.
