All of them accept online payments. It's really not a big leap to being able to pay for something through their website while in their store and walk out with it. Some places do this now, especially for bulky items, just scan the barco

Well-implemented idea, as others have said. It's ridiculous that in 2013 I'm still carrying around a wallet full of junk (and keys but that's another story). However this feels like an awkward stop-gap between the current car

Yea of course they will. That doesn't mean they spend their days explicitly enumerating limits of functions, and limits are pre-calc anyway. The point isn't that calculus isn't /integral/ in mathematics, just that i

Your assumption being that I don't know calculus? Anyway I stand by my original statement, if you're working in data analysis (even as a frequentist) you should be able to see the truth in it; "data scientists" aren'

Fairly obviously because you're saying those in this thread have some kind of inside track on the future of BTC.

That's just the kind of advice that could lose some keen programmers (with no financial background) a lot of money.

I know it's a cliché to bring this up but even with BTC being (arguably) instruments for speculation, it helps to keep Ben Graham's "Mr. Market" in mind when you're worrying about what the current exchange rate is.

Basic arithmetic isn't math in this context, sitting through a multivariate calculus MOOC isn't going to help you with addition.

This article confuses statistics with (at least on my assumption) pure math. He talks about the use of math by journalists in data analysis and visualisation, when that's purely the realm of the statistician, who need not necessarily k

Sorry I think there's been some confusion. Forex refers to the currencies exchange markets, not swapping holiday money at a bureau de change or doing the same through your bank. (As an aside it's pretty straightforward to open a U

The fact a rat was spotted in a dusty old warehouse isn't really worth addressing. From what I've learned so far, the only factor letting this product down for me is the price. I'd guess $65/w is around what I'm spe

From what I gather you're attempting a high-volume, low-margin resale "business" and you want to currency to be on a level playing field with forex? Because then you're dealing with more efficient markets (hence won'

I think a remaining problem with Bitcoin is that people think it somehow owes them free money, as detailed by this post. (While that may have been true in the early GPU and CPU mining days, now to venture down that road requires serious inv
