I think these kind of exercices are essential to show the power of the language. The scope is limited and forces us to look for new ways to solve given problem targeting best performance, because some real life situations, this is what is r

Until you need it. May not be essential, more like, obviously expected kind of feature that breaks the web experience and is highly annoying.

I think that is most because a company with real paying clients (some very big) with a very expensive product, can't seem able to ship a simple but essential feature as this one. The wow factor here is mind blowing. Comparing with Mozi

Ok, interesting analysis. I will look more on Rust and maybe try something myself. But by reading your other posts about optimizing Rust to do search, it seems to require a lot of experience to tune Rust code.

No, like: crypto, math, compression, encoding/decoding. Any example?

That doesnt mean anything. Try a little real software for instance.

And this is getting nauseating even to these wanting to give it a try. I'm in the step of walking away and forget about it until the dirt settles down (and it becomes at least as fast as C/C++ or... even Go)

And it is not. It is not faster than C but it can be almost as fast someday.

I dont really know what to say from this without risking being downvoted. But, this coming from a Microsoft blog is a little... awkward. DOS heritage + really bad shell implementations, well.. I avoid the hell out of using command line on a

It is way better than pip on the sense it works everytime. pip is not painless. It is close but miss by little. Got to hate it because of numpy.

I really doubt you and you dont provide any details about your setup either. I have exactly the same issues as the poster. I have about 20 tabs and it is costing 1.7GB ram. Note that I almost never reboot, so it may well be leaks, but even

I prefer external caching/distributed solutions like ccache/sccache/sndbs than these private forks of clang. Less risky and up-to-date.

One problem with pip is that it requires tricks. But seriously, I avoid using python mostly due the headache when trying to use pip. But I'm sure without pip python would be a real hell.

And C++ is all about choice trade-offs. Put very simply: do your choice for your problem and deal with its consequences.

Not really. This is why I read the post. But the comments aren't discussing the container but the SQL being better or not than something else. Docker would help my case if it wasn't required to run on Windows Server! This could be
