I'm doing this with Google drive over Autosync and mostly it is fine. Occasional merge conflicts where it generates an extra file that is the other version, but I just run winmerge. It helps if you are careful about syncing and don

It wasn't compiled, but the way Smalltalk-72 did ?integrated into the rest of the execution? parsing is worth understanding. http://worrydream.com/EarlyHistoryOfSmalltalk/

Lots of Canadians do just that. Even when I was a kid, long time ago, my best friend had to go to the US for urinary tract surgery. It is effectively a 2 tier system with the second tier being "Go to the US".

It probably won't work, the problem is a lot deeper than a something a few more talented migrants can fix. A few years ago Alex Danco wrote up what he saw as the issues [1] and it reads pretty much like the list I would have made in th

To be fair, that is probably partially fallout from the Canadian content regulations and possibly other law regarding corporate ownership. Not sure because it has been over two decades since I was current in that stuff.

It's a reason to look for alternatives. If no one there has 100,000+ bookmarks, they can't understand their users and problem domain that well. Once Android chrome is out with the update, I'll start looking at other browsers

Did anyone actually go over the NLS internals docs over at bitsavers? I went through them, it is impressive how much mileage they got out of the '68 designs. Still parts missing that no one seems to want to add to their new outliners.
