Very sad this didn't work out. This story rings of the old saying: no good deed goes unpunished.

I used minikube for a long time, it's pretty good but I found kind to be a lot nicer of an experience and eventually switched. https://kind.sigs.k8s.io/

This is really cool, running ML workloads on top of SQL is a very practical way of doing ML for a lot of businesses. Many companies don't have the fancy ML workloads like you see at OpenAI, they just have a SQL database with some data

Hikaru is an amazing showman, he's gotten a ton of people interested in chess over the last two years. This is my favorite video from his stream in which he premoves an entire game.[0] It's edited, he didn't actually do this

Contexts spawn a goroutine to block on the Done channel. You always need to call cancel otherwise you'll leak that goroutine. It's an annoying thing that comes from the fact that contexts are implemented in user space and there&#x

I think no US companies aren't required to be C Corps. That wouldn't make a ton of sense for them if they're planning to operate largely outside of the US.

Interesting choice, gold has lost 5-10% of its value measured in USD over the last 10 years. One of the most inflationary periods ever and it hasn't even kept up with fiat.

This article does a good job of acknowledging global-warming as a cause. Which I do too. I'm agreeing with it that the best way to respond is to do prescribed burns. They ameliorate the short-term and long-term ill effects of the megaf

The frustrating thing about this argument is that you can't even begin to have it because it challenges climate change as the cause of the forest fires. This is completely stupid because climate change just makes it more important that

It kinda does, `git show <commit>` does exactly what one would expect if commits were actually diffs. That is it shows the diff between <commit> and its parent.

It's technically correct. The key thing here is that it's isomorphic. You can either have a system of commits in which diffs are computed between commits or a system of diffs in which commits are computed by applying diffs. The tr
