Honestly, it's probably cooler there in the summer than Austin due to the elevation. It also gets legitimately cold in Reno with snow that will stick around longer than a day.

The problem with Miami's flooding isn't that the sea is washing over it, it's coming from underneath it due to the porous limestone. Short of raising all the buildings and roads, how do you solve that?

I've always been surprised that Reno isn't mentioned as a place for Silicon Valley to go to. It's only a 4 hour drive/1 hour flight to SF, near Tahoe, no income tax, and drastically lower property taxes than Texas. Coupl

I like how they call out that it has 20% of the capacity of a lithium ion battery of the same mass. I'd rather be realistic about technological advances, and then be pleasently surprised when it shows up in consumer products rather tha

Frankly, if this did come from a lab in China, I doubt there would be any repercussions. What would happen, additional tariffs on Chinese products, or sanctions against certain CCP officials? I believe the latter is more likely than the for

I really feel that at some point in the future, we're going to look back on lockdowns with a highly critical eye, and the people who were most vocal about supporting said lockdowns will be coming up with excuses as to why they supporte

>Are you willing to have 5% of the population end up like me... short of breath, and pretty much unable to do more than 1/2 hour of physical labor per day? I can do grocery shopping, and that's it for me. Honestly, yes.

As a Michigander, I find it funny to see people argue over growing cities and whether their cultural cachet is growing or fading. People here would kill to have the problems that Austin has.

Good! Maybe we can determine how much money was spent on slush funds for the leadership instead of, you know, promoting pro 2A laws.

BBBY has been brought up in a few DD (due diligence) posts. If you go to WSB and search for BBBY you'll come acorss them. GME is obviously the focus of attention, and therefore the lions share of posts are about them.
