Part of me says well if we could just put rents on hold, that would take care of the obvious problem. But [K]N95/FFP2 masks for all, and high-scale testing and tracing makes going back to work a lot more appealing.

It's not throughput if the 240 refreshes per second are evenly-spaced apart in time. It's a polling rate and it absolutely effects responsiveness.
