Key point: "to you". I imagine that if the $0 option wasn't included, many of those who chose it would simply not "buy" it at all. So at least they get some marketing benefit out of it. Of course this works better for those "pay what you wa

Just dodge around the new UI and it's quite usable. Or better yet get Start8 and automatically skip the new UI on log in altogether (and get a win7 style start menu as a bonus). Why they would include a tablet oriented touch centric UI in a

They've obviously got their units messed up in that section. I used 99GiB yesterday, and I'm fairly sure I don't account for over a third of my country's bandwidth usage :)

Love it. You're plainly trying to keep it simple, but how about a speed indicator next to the progress percentage?

I love stats analyses like this. Pleased to say my pin occupies one of the darker regions of the heatmap :)

I have the $2.99 price available to me in New Zealand. As I'm usually the one getting screwed by regional pricing (on steam), I'd be happy to help out. Just drop me the funds via paypal and I'll gift to your email via amazon. Email me: jcon

I'm truly sorry to rain on your parade like this, but the "0x" signifies hex, aka base 16, which makes "0x10" equal to 16 in decimal. Now, if it were 0b10...

To extend upon this idea - if you really wanted to maximise the data you could transmit in a single twitter message you could use the full 31bits of unicode (instead of just the chinese subset) and then apply standard lossless data compress

I just hope there will be a way to entirely disable the Metro UI. I'm sure it'll be fine for small form factor devices, but it has absolutely no place on my home desktop. The new filesystem UI stuff is a welcome change, however. ( http://bl

Pretty much every intel desktop chip of the last few years will do 4ghz+ with good air cooling. I have an i7 930 @ 4.2ghz on air, my flatmate has a 2600K @ 4.8ghz on air.

Using Win7+Firefox 4 on a core i7 930: 1% cpu usage without ads, 5% with ads. Think it's just you / your software.
