I simply don't like the "client-side" approach for web development. A website was never supposed to behave as a full fledged app. They've taken us for absolute fools.

Native AOT brings C# closer to Go, pretty nice feature. BTW, Upgrading .NET apps for the last few years has been such a breeze. It won't take more than a few minutes + adjusting a couple build pipelines

Only problem I've had so far is not being able to share a single tab in a Google Meet, being forced to share the whole window instead. Tolerable but annoying.

Switched to Zen last week over a bug that prevented me from opening my favs. Good timing to jump ship.

No, not really, it's about migrating/restoring every single 2FA key would be extremely inconvenient

Indeed, but I have like 40 different cloud providers, social networks and SaaS' which would be a pain to migrate

One day Authy for desktop was deprecated and all of a sudden I was forced to always have my smartphone with me, which I was struggling to replace with a dumbphone. To this day, I have no way out of owning an smartphone for this very reason

I see TDD exactly as the best practice for vibe coding! Context is stored as test coverage, to make sure they don't break things when they hallucinate. YMMV though.

Waterfall is what works for most consulting businesses. Clients like the buzz of agile but they won't budge on scope, budget or timeframe. You end up being forced to do waterfall.

I'm out of the loop for local models. For my M3 24gb ram macbook, what token throughput can I expect? Edit: I tried it out, I have no idea in terms of of tokens but it was fluid enough for me. A bit slower than using o3 in the browser

They write code that don't build in the first or second shot. With Claude Code I gave it instructions to "fix tests" and it became so frustrated with them it started to "rm" the files lol

I reached the same conclusion. But unfortunately LLMs are not that good at C#.

Creating browser extensions is easy enough. It's hacky web dev which I very much enjoy. The problem relies in distribution.

Don't get me wrong. I really support these kind of frameworks. I'm a fan of Rails, Phoenix, Django and Laravel. But if me, as a strong supporter, can't get it right; how can someone who's skeptical?
