Yeah, a simple solution on iPhone is to just get rid of the full height "dial" circle icon and make it a flat button, and shift the whole view down towards the bottom of the screen.

Other than my work (which happens to be related to telephony apps) I rarely use the dialpad. If I meet a new person I enter 10 digits and that is the extent of my usage. Not to say that the design in use is justified by limited use, but my

There is a checkbox in Xcode preferences to change it back. Not sure where as I’m on mobile, but that annoyed me to no end till I found the option. I agree on faster and better, but still buggy. Autocomplete still regularly dies for me and

The iPhone 5s is still supported on the latest OS released last week. I guess 4-5 years of software support isn't enough?

Yeah, I really don't understand Apple's aversion to using black on their first phone with an OLED display. Nearly all of Apple's built in apps have kept their bright white UI's.

That's strange, I still see iPhone 4s/5/5s on the regular. The lifetime of my iPhone is typically a year, yes, but my used phones live on for many more years through other people after I sell them.

Same here. I use a Whitefox (with blues) at my desk, but I have grown quite accustomed to the 2016 MBP keyboard. For me the key stability + clickiness are what I like about it. Yes the throw is short, but I was never a "slam my fingers

I agree, when they first demoed it I was pretty shocked. For games, I can kind of understand, they can likely work around it...but for video? No videos are recorded with the thought of the left side of the screen being cut off.

Just so you know you can directly touch and slide both volume and brightness buttons (Without lifting your finger to tap again), so still just one touch. On the other features, I agree, but I really think they can still be solved by softwar

That is still decided on a software level. The home button on my iPhone has become unresponsive before, even being a physical button. As long as the swipe gesture and "open homescreen" actions are given higher priority I don'

I just got my Immotor Go electric scooter off their indiegogo campaign. It is pretty awesome since it folds up pretty small, so taking it to a store allows me to just stow the thing under the shopping cart. 16mph max speed, 16 mile range. I

I can't tell if I am missing the sarcasm in this thread, but 25°C would be considered a cool day in the summer where I live. Today is cool and overcast, and the high is still 28°. Last week it was even hotter. And that is not even cons

Wouldn't the model be different for each user? and different for different typing scenarios? Like typing one handed vs two, sitting on a bus, in a car, while walking, versus just sitting on the couch. It seems like it could be possible

This is the true problem. Apple is pushing in-app subscriptions on developers now...but as a developer you have no way to inform your customer of this. We have a SaaS business, and still get 1 out of 10 reviews complaining that there is a s

On days I wake up naturally, early in the morning, I am 100x more productive than a typical day. The problem is keeping that consistent seems to be really difficult for me, possibly depending on a bunch of factors, like stress levels, exerc

Uhh, he is bashing Apple...I guess because he assumes iCloud backup is the only way to backup an iPhone? You can back up an iPhone locally with iTunes. Unless you are afraid they will go through your laptop to find your phone backup.

I assume by "aux" you mean USB? I don't see how third party app audio wouldn't be routed to the headphone jack because the music app doesn't have content.

It takes a toll, but not a 2 hour difference kind of toll. The OS has to be equipped to take advantage of the state for it to be that effective. Does the same test run on W10 or any linux distro do the same? I highly doubt it.
