I used to type >140 WPM at high accuracy when I was younger without home row. These days I think I likely sit closer to 90 WPM or so, since I really just don't really need to type super fast very often and am pretty out of practice.

Oh I see. I'm not familiar with the model used by Workbench and how it differs exactly. (edit: and to be clear, I did read the article and see what it said, but without more detail I'm not 100% sure what it really looks like in pr

I mean look, whether it makes sense or not, the proposition is you pay for the privilege of using things you already had for free so that you can help someone else bootstrap a sustainable business off of something (something that they didn&

I don't actually think it would go down like that so I think the point is moot, but are we really going to go through this again? Developers should (and often do) know better than to get into these unsustainable situations, but they st

Not to distract from this but if you're primarily using Firefox I really like Container Tabs for this. With the Multi-Account Container Tabs extension, you can set a SOCKS proxy per container, then set certain origins to always open in

The latter, though I'm just using it as an example really. I think for most emulator core designs today you wind up dumping a lot of ephemeral state when you rewind or load state (and sometimes even saving state has some overhead due t

Not 100% familiar with exactly what this is but I am familiar with run-ahead, which is basically also the same idea as GGPO, but for eliminating lag: - Run the emulator one frame normally, using real polled input. Somehow snapshot the state

In general if you're coming from a "clean" IP your difficulty won't be very high. In the future if these systems coordinate with each other in some way (DHT?) then it should make it possible to drop the baseline difficul

Multi bag is probably over-complicating things. You can take a note from TGM and just keep a running window of the last n pieces and reroll m times until you get one that wasn't in the window or run out of tries. I think n is usually 4

FWIW, it is ZeroSSL. I want there to be more major ACME providers than just LE, but I'm not sure about ZeroSSL, personally. It seems to have the same parent company as IdenTrust (HID Global Corporation). Probably a step up from Honest

What I mean is, it definitely isn't explicit policy to remove features that phone home; but, it is sometimes still done at the package maintainer's discretion. For things that are unfree all bets are off. (Removing or interfering

To be fair, we (Nixpkgs maintainers) do remove or disable features that phone home sometimes even though it's not policy. That said, it would be nice if it was policy. Definitely was discussed before (most recently after the devbox thi

Fair point. I know it was rough when Apple made the break-away with 32-bit. Still, the point is that you can make it work if you want to make it work. Off the top of my head: - Two computers, completely separate. Maybe a desktop and a lapto
