I didn't click through the links described (or even have time to install Tor), but it occurs to me that one may be able to find these guys via statistical analysis of writing style. Spider the web and then correlate less-anonymous writings

Really smart hackers should go to college, if they want to, but it is hard to find a college that won't be boring for them. There are a few out there, usually small. Don't study computers, it's a waste of time, you already know them. Study

I like this comparison to MVC. Views + a state machine is basically a description of CouchDB and CouchApp style programming, so I've seen the OPs architecture being used in very real life situations. I've been calling it an event architectu

I like to think of Telehash as the answer for p2p routing. It's powerful and there's working implementations. The other piece of the puzzle is REST in the UDP context, for that, CoAP looks really well put together: http://tools.ietf.org/ht

In my Philosophy dept Frege was well read. So we spent a lot of time with the foundations of set theory and arithmetic. Looks like he has an article "What is a Function?" but I don't think I've read it.

At scale, disk throughput more than anything else will dominate. How long do you want backups to take? If ssds are faster they might mean fewer servers with more disk throughput per server can give users a snappier experience.

Like the idea. One suggestion - the value at json._links.self will often be a unique identifier. Maybe some provision can be made for this to live at a top level, like json._id There are strong arguments against that idea I'm sure, but cons
