I noticed the same outage. I signed up a week ago and was moving some stuff to the freemont site. Maybe I should have picked Dallas.

I have done discounted promotions in the past, but we did revenue sharing and it turned out great. 100k free downloads is painful. I wonder if there is a way to tell amazon to limit the free copies to the first 5k people who download, then

Interesting. I got 1.8 seconds off my site load. Wonder how this would affect seo.

There is ample opportunity for technical solutions to ordinary problems. It does not need to be "big/huge" to be successful. Good luck.

I find it interesting how people handle crisis. You can act on feeling, or you can act on logic. They (airbnb) need to be more logic based in their approach and state the facts: Our system is not perfect. We are making adjustments. We will

I remember the early days of ebay and stories of fraud. I don't think this will be the end. They need to make adjustments, but I don't think this is the "end" of this type of service.

It will be interesting to see what developers create from the g+ apis. I will be taking a look at integrating when they are released.

Very nice. I like books, but this is a big commitment and including "connectivity" is even better.

"...pay more attention to joining the billion dollar revenue club." That is a rather large number. For most, you can survive and grow with far less than the billion mark and never take a drop of venture (and still be considered a success).

I like this: "Through talent, focus, and a work ethic that is the envy of his peers.." Also, that he has what some would consider failures that did not stop him in his tracks. He got up, dusted off, and continued to work hard.

From a less social perspective, I can see this having potential with work groups related to projects. I will be interested when the api comes out.

I would add: Visit an art museum and learn about the different styles of art. It's about different forms of expression that don't involve 1s and 0s.

I like this: we will value ourselves at 6 times forward earnings assuming you throw the weight of your customers behind us. If they say no, you can say , “ok, half that!”

You make an excellent point. You don't just integrate with one platform, you target and glue to others adding additional functionality. This will keep people coming back.

I encourage you go to the boot-strap route and keep working as well. I started out on a used laptop bought off ebay for less than 200 and a tracfone for a business number.

Sorry to hear of your trouble. Bootstrapping is very difficult and you should not expect 1 or 2 months is enough time to gain traction and be profitable. I would not say you have "failed". Your product may be the best thing no one has heard
