Funny I don't know how this is supposed to look like because I haven't used Win11. Icons look sort of dithered or something.

More than just one line: - Why check every 5 minutes? It's not like anyone will die if you wait a day to upgrade. - Why download it without user confirmation. This is the worst one. - The timer should not be stopped, or the user is for

I asked myself the same question when I learned yacc and bison. For most languages, the tokens are a regular language and a simple regex lexer is enough. Regular expressions used by a lexer end up as a state machine. It does not make much s

It is ONLY about controlling the flow of information, all the rest are just excuses and rationalizations. If they really wanted to tackle illegal behavior then the laws are already there (that's why it is "illegal" in the fir

What's the point of GTK4 and why does it have to be incompatible with GTK3? Is it really worth it to spend so much developer effort across so many projects to migrate them to GTK4?

I don't get why there is no inter-relay communication. From what I read it would just work but it is not allowed for some reason.

I also asked myself the same question. What I gather from the answers here is that browser vendors are to blame for not providing a mechanism. The law only says there's got to be explicit opt-in, but not the mechanism.

That's the same line of thinking as the people who first broke GPT with DAN (see this guy Aristophanes' write-ups on the topic). They think that those models will be used to restrict us and thus the idea is to force OpenAI to make

That's because the manufacturer won't provide service manuals or schematics. Probably the thing itself is not designed to be repairable, but that's an issue with the product itself, not with the technology.
