I had the same curiosity as you but realized there can’t possibly be any long term studies because this class is new, and very new for weight loss. I just searched for the longest term study for the class.

They are all made from some type of oil/fat. Things with sulfate at the end of the ingredient don’t form soap scum, but classic soap made with fat and lye produce a salt of a fatty acid which combines with hard water to make soap scum

I was curious, and found the ingredients for a 1992 bar of zest from an eBay photo. It was a mix of soap with the detergent sodium cocoglyceryl ether sulfonate. The current recipe is all soap but they added a couple of chelating agents: Pe

The forced reeducation prisons were built after I was there. I did spend some time talking to locals, and they were justifiably paranoid. There had been some recent terrorism and they sensed blowback was coming to ordinary citizens. There w

Thanks for the article and I read the paper. I know people have been working on it for ages, but it is nice to see some promising results. One huge problem with the article is this line: > The plants are also 16% to 18% more efficient a

I have worked on a corn seed farm detassling odd rows of corn. It is every other row for seed hybridization. The rows were marked, but it was pretty obvious because the two heirloom varieties were distinct. If there were more that two va

It makes perfect sense from a biological perspective. I am not aware of any transgenic methods to increase yield as that is done through breeding and hybridization. Do you know of a specific seed that has enhanced yields through a crisper

I think they are really this ignorant. The tech suburbanite ideas about farming are insane. Vertical farming is just one of the cringy ideas. Farm underneath solar panels instead of putting the panels on one side of the farm, monocropping

GMO yields are actually lower than non-GMO in ideal conditions. The savings come in other ways, such as no manual weeding with glyphosate resistance (or higher yields compared to letting the weeds rob NPK), or less insecticide use and spra

The government isn’t interfering with the factors of production. The healthcare system has market based incentives. The Chinese system is no money means no western healthcare. Western healthcare didn’t really exist in China until the 90s.

Eating raw leafy greens is a hyper modern addition to human diets. If you want a $20 kale salad, go for it, but let’s not pretend eating uncooked nutritionally devoid foods is somehow necessary or historical.
