Banning alcohol didn't work out so well the last time we tried it and I seriously doubt it would go any better if we tried it again now.

There's a very small chance you'll choke to death every time you eat something.

My one experience as a landlord didn't go well. I'm too soft-hearted for that business, but ended up with a house I couldn't sell after the housing market collapse back in 2008. Had a single mom move into my rental house. S

The assumption is that in a nuclear conflagration, expect GPS to become... unavailable.

And the story about why the GPS satellites carry a NUDET payload (NDS) is a fun one too.

Very nice primer. I worked on the GPS program (first at Boeing, then at a small subcontractor when Lockheed won the GPS III work) - though I worked on the software simulator for the satellites (focused on the operational side of the conste

Perhaps this will be the first time that those promoting mass censorship, internal passports, discrimination, putting people in camps (see Australia), etc., wind up on the right side of history. I'm betting not.

Well, I left my 15+ year career in the defense industry due to Joe's federal contractor mandate. Maybe that one will get struck down next and then I can go back. If I want to.

People are saying it. And it is really bad and dangerous

Not necessarily purely symbolic. It could have been done as a signal to the court that the mandate would not have had congressional approval.

Unfortunately, the CMS mandate was allowed to take effect (though litigation on that one continues). I guess we'll find out if the plaintiff's argument that this would devastate rural hospitals (that are already short-staffed and

This seems like a good idea. Present yourself as a business, and don't make it obvious you're a one man show (I'm not saying lie, I'm just saying watch how you present yourself).
