Is an articulating cordless drill a robot? Because that’s all this thing is. It’s still an electronic, but it’s not a robot. If this thing could learn and sense which movements produced the best effects, then it would be a robot. But it’s n

It takes energy to process soya into an edible patty. It does for meat patties as well, so I am curious about the comparison (eg. a soy patty takes x Kw to make, a beef one takes y Kw). Where I think meat has an advantage is that &quo

In many cases, technology is no different than those people who run conferences for "real estate advice" - the advice is incredibly simple and straightforward, but I don't get to charge you $2000 a ticket if I can explain it

Haha, fair criticism, but don't miss the forest for trees. My point was about simplicity - I don't need to worry about this when making a website, but there's this new language and now I have to worry about this? It just feel

This assumes that paying tax makes the world a better place. I am sure Bill Gates has played similar accounting tricks and look, he's about to rid the world of Malaria. Yes tax dollars are used for social good, but they also fund the m

Cosmetics are a billion dollar industry, why do you write it off so quickly? People pay money to make their face look different from others, why wouldn't they pay money to make their digital self different?

And there is no such thing as a slow Java app? Or a slow Objective-C app? Just because it's compiled, doesn't mean it's better. Some websites turn your phone into a space heater because the developer is shit, not because the

Because what's "required" for the job is way too complex for the perceived payoff. That's why the JS/HTML is winning - the time investment to "do something" matches the outcome.

Yes, but I think that this is too shallow. You have to do deep dives (as if you were actually interested in the product/service) for it to really work. Like the OP said, you have to go to review sites, watch youtube videos, etc.

Right! But I will not click on those ads because I am not part of that demographic. The whole point of doing this is to shift you to a demographic where the ads become irrelevant and you aren't tempted to click them.
