Been using Teams for 6 months, it's awful. Being asked to log into another Teams instance, for example, results in baffling issues; I had to switch to the web version and that only works sometimes. Turn off a VPN? Be prepared to sudde

This sounds like an extreme statement but police goading misguided people into terrorism happens a lot. One example: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/british-columbia/judge-...

Heroku does not have a CDN. IMO you'd pay for Heroku because of the ability to have one vendor deal with your full stack, including Postgres, and having the ability to roll back / scale up with relative ease. You pay for that eas

Anyone who lives in a Japanese house will attest to the awful feeling of waking up in a freezing house in even a mild winter in Tokyo. Or the murderous hot of summer that it has its own word for trying to escape it (避暑). The poor insulati

I have had to move from Slack to Teams. Despite what everyone says about Slack, Teams is much, much worse because of the complex and incomprehensible integrations with Active Directory. I have had invitations to meetings that I can click o

Yeah, I had completely forgotten the plot where the Captain of the Concordia and a former fighter pilot is sent on a commando mission (!). We never even find out why the Concordia was sunk (although I assume it was in some book). I think a

The parts of that story involving Cobra are almost uncomfortable to discuss. It was an attempt to raise the stakes but I didn't like it at all. Even putting the weird "we should exterminate them all" Cobra character aside, t

I was so hyped when this game came out; I remember waiting 5-10 minutes for each mission to start on my computer at the time (a 486 dx2? Or a Pentium? Hard to remember). Clearing space to play it was a pain too. I missed some of the wc2
