I haven’t had goats (really want some) but with chickens we would keep em until they stopped laying eggs and then we’d eat them. Some chickens that were more pet like would survive into old age, but most chickens are stupid and not really p

As soon as Starlink is fast enough for my needs I’d like to get a place with land and lots of goats!

This is really cool. I didn’t know about this until the GTA story came out. I wonder how many of many applications get this wrong.

I’m not going to support anyone that makes a profit breaking the rules, gets caught, says sorry not sorry, continues to profit off breaking the rules in the name of privacy and free internet, and then cries that they’re no longer trusted to

I’ve worked in the mobile game space for awhile and nearly all game reviews are fake or paid for in some way. I worked on 3 games last year that are all sitting at 4.5 stars on android and iOS. You know how I know those reviews are fake? Be

I did as you said and watched the Lyra version first. I couldn’t understand her and the tone wasn’t matching her lips and mouth. It sounds like someone with a speech impediment is dubbing someone who is not. I wonder how much miscommunicati

I listened to the first 4 samples of the woman speaking and Lyra was the most clear and close to the loudness of the original, but it was also the most different. Lyra sounds like a computer voice of the women speaking the sentence back. I

I would not get the Apple Card because Apple’s documentation around every aspect is missing or incomplete. The 3% savings is not worth the potential disaster of Apple shutting down Apple Card; happened to Googles Wallet Card. If you need a

I can only pull from my experiences, but I have witnessed many in my family and other poor families that only work hard enough to get what they need. And very few go beyond that and work for what they want. It’s hard, exhausting work. I reg

I think it’s not so much luck, but perseverance. I have a similar poor upbringing and I have built a pretty comfortable life by never letting myself get too down and always keep working towards a better life. Being smart helps, but really t

I developed in Cinder about 10 years ago. The company I was working for was using openframeworks for a different project and I start looking at Cinder for new version with better features. I started building out a new framework on top of Ci

I don’t like ECS because it always conflates to using components as messages for systems that have nothing to do with Entities. I much prefer using a message system. A message system can quickly abstract the engines view from the core logic

I primarily develop Unity Applications and there is IL2CPP that compiles and runs IL code as C++. Also, I’ve developed in Java regularly over the years and it’s never a pleasure. C# is a better language. Java 8 introduced Stream API and it

You have a very short-sighted view of .Net development. I’d take whatever .Net tech over anything Java. With Mono, .Net, .Net Core, and Unity’s IL2CPP .Net and C# start to appeal to a broad audience.

I don’t know if I do care that customer is or isn’t a supplier. I have been using Nominal type systems in C++ and C# for a long time and I’ve started drifting into an architecture style that leverages interfaces as my types which I just lea

Typescript taught me that I actually don’t care about types and all I care about is the shape of data. In most cases I think of types/interfaces in Typescript as strict data definitions. A function takes in a collection of data; as lon
