I was reading this the other day when I came across this feature because I’m stacking PRs recently which I don’t usually do https://andrewlock.net/working-with-stacked-branches-in-git-... Another commenter posted this link

I think ‘git rebase —-update-refs’ is the better way to go for this scenario

The article suggests there’s evidence that screen time has the opposite effect. A little surprising but I guess for a lot of people it is more stimulating than watching the news or soaps all day

In my experience there’s still much more to this. I’m sure it helps at population level like the article describes but it’s not foolproof. For our first we were feeding nuts early and still developed an allergy to all nuts. Our second didn’

Sadly, the majority of the people want these policies because they’ve been brainwashed or they’re too apathetic to care. The major political parties want it too. Democracy is flawed.

That looks great, a nice upgrade over the 500 but I’d buy it just for the echoes of Amiga 500 plus.

I couldn’t agree more. I think we should just write our pipelines in languages our teams are familiar with and prioritise being able to run them locally.

People don’t have a nuanced view of when to use sunscreen. You can see for yourself in the comments, there’s plenty of loud certainty and context is left behind. And I’d have expected this group to at least understand that the need for suns

Probably mitigated by the fact that the most popular SUVs in the UK are effectively just tall hatchbacks. People think Range Rovers but the bestsellers are like Kia Sportage and Ford Puma.

Big caveat that I’ve not read the book but I get that the premise is “legacy code is code that is untested” and I’ve always struggled with that definition. I think a more accepted definition would be that it is not well understood, uses old

Small but organised communities that are on Twitch and YouTube live streams seem to counter that “series of one-offs” the author is talking about. I often watch YouTube live streamed sports watchalongs and have become familiar with the regu

That’s fair but I use iOS features for it and they do have more simplified set ups like blocking mature content that they define. I wonder how many people take the time to set up screen time for their kids? That is as easy on the level of

All the main parties are behind it, some say it doesn’t go far enough. The vast majority of the British public absolutely love to ban things. If you listen to talk radio or daytime tv most of the time they’ll be having a discussion on banni

I’m not sure it has to keep the id on the device, it keeps the signed digital credentials not the original id document. The government would sign the “facts” like isAdult etc and they currently issue and sign all current ids anyway.

Maybe do a portfolio of S&P 500 ex mag 7, market cap and equal weight and see if you can get the aggregate weights to match (within reason) sqrt weights.

I think you misunderstood how the digital credentials api works. It keeps it in your phone’s secure element and lets you share just a “yes/no” proof like “over 18” without revealing anything else. It’s basically the cryptographically s

Nuget Audit is an odd one. I usually don’t want all devs to jump on fixing the latest vulnerability right away. We have a separate pipeline for resolving those issues.
