The sense of entitlement in that post is insane. It's not one mans job to save you from your inability to do things yourself.

I think the USA is having a hard time accepting how little impact they have in 2023. Russia is doing just fine with sanctions because the world is dependent on gas and oil. Maybe once EV catches on fully.

Rust is a great language but it seems to attract plenty of "tech geek" people who don't really understand programming or CS beyond the surface and act zealot-like over "insert current trendy tech". I think the curse

Really depends on the standards. Those who reject technical standards are obviously the ones with no skill who are just trying to get out of their parents house / developing country. But I get silly requirements like personality tests.

It costs you less to fly to Turkey to get medical care + do a holiday than to take medical care in the US, I know because I have an American friend who does that. It's really absurd.

I worked briefly on Fuchsia and LK (little kernel), years ago, as a contributor. First of all, Fuchsia is SMALL. I mean it could easily be maintained and developed by 50 people. The kernel is tiny despite being of many modules and so is the

A little assertiveness can go a long way. "I was not made aware of this fee, so I am only paying X" and walking away should work.

I suspect that it's an attempt to spread panic and get the "good employees" to accept a salary / benefits reduction in fear of going jobless. VCs demand more profit so a new way to reduce salaries must be found.
