Tech specs and Hero evolution aside I feel the marketing department made a great video. Makes me want to go out and Do Stuff. While recording it. (edit) Put differently: I think they really hit the nail on the head from a branding and assoc

I wonder if the previous model keyboard repairs will get the third gen keyboard at some point (didn't see any info about this)?

I'm using cloudflare workers to "polyfill" client hints if they're missing with cookie logic. With their addition of being able to mutate cache keys via edge workers I find it to be a extremely powerful way of everything

Does Cloudflare pass a dictionary when compressing for your clients? Would be interesting to hear about excursions in testing dictionary sizes/variations at that scale.

Speaking of Cloudflare, they do brotli encoding for you at the free tier. Not sure about other CDN's but I'm sure it's a matter of time.

If you want to attempt building nginx with brotli support, let me save you 15 minutes: Google's original module is more or less abandoned. Look here instead: https://github.com/eustas/ngx_brotli Another alternativ

I think the Atlassian stack "wins" in the ~200-500 users range for enterprise companies but price doubles if you want the "cloud edition" (read: run on more than one vm). I asked for a few quotes of the gitlab EEU (ultim

I saw issues resolving via azure dns servers (i have gitlab runners on there) as well: ssh 10.0.1.7 ping -c 1 github-production-release-asset-2e65be.s3.amazonaws.com ping: github-production-release-asset-2e65be.s3.amazonaws.com: Temporary f

I explained poorly. I ran into issues with updating jemalloc as part of a software update. While debugging the issue I disabled jemalloc (unsetting the ld_preload) and noticied a sharp difference in how much memory ruby had allocated. I gue

It might be worth mentioning that they use jemalloc which greedily allocates memory. I "found out" while running into an issue and disabled it[1] which shaved a fair amount of memory from allocation. At the end of the day I guess

I've been using tilaa as a mail host for about ten years now; its a vm/storage provider based out of Amsterdam. I at least tell myself that my data is relatively safe there.

Would be interesting to see Azure in this table now that their managed postgres is GA. I've had a "mixed experience" using it during preview, both from performance and troubleshooting perspectives.
