Can you say more about what you’d want in such a service? What language are you learning? What kind of videos do you watch? Where do you get them? Youtube?

The problem with resolving promises inside of `componentDidMount` is that there is no way to cancel those promises. If the component is unmounted, and then setState is called, it will generate an error (or a warning. I can't remember).

If we want the rich to pay more taxes, it would be simpler to just raise taxes on the rich individuals. Things get more complicated when you try to tax an abstraction (a corporation).

Cafe Zitouna on Sutter and Polk falls into this category. It's a family owned Tunisian/Moroccan restaurant. It's inexpensive and the food is top notch. It's been in the neighborhood forever. Go check it out and order a B

I see. So you'd rather have something that says, "You are now chatting with everyone in 192.168.1.*". That's good feedback. Thank you!

Thanks! The chatroom is based on the external IP that is visible to subnetchat.com. So everybody on your LAN should be in the same chat room.

Thanks for the feedback! Part of our roadmap includes "server-side" observables. This will allow state to be calculated and cached on the server side, so that clients don't have to recalculate the state of the universe every

I'm hoping the proliferation of self-driving cars in San Francisco will bring about some alternative to emergency sirens, but who knows.

An unfortunate side effect of the overuse of these emergency vehicles it that makes it difficult for residents to get a healthy night's sleep. Frequent sirens and air-horns are the number #1 cause of noise pollution in the Tenderloin.

Summary: There is a bug in Airbrake's gem that will cause a connection-pool leak in multithreaded Rails instances. This leak will eventually cause your app to crash. I'm posting this here because this is a very common configuratio

What do you do with the random tokens after you've generated them? The author's proposed solution of "Encrypt then authenticate" seems pretty reasonable.

It looks like Flow should work to the extent that it can infer types from your CS output, but it will be tricky to embed explicit types into your CoffeeScript source. You can probably hack it using the backtick operator though. `funct

I've used the Blowfish cipher to obfuscate database IDs into youtube-like URLs. Blowfish has a small 64-bit blocksize which fits nicely into a base64'd URL param.
