You call the above high-level, vague (and mostly obvious) predictions - "a precise vision"?

Nothing crude about it. My kids usually had more fun with the boxes that the toys came in than the actual toys!

The context here is "first date". There are far more important things to think about on first date such as "Do I like this guy?", not how expensive his car is.

I made it a point to use public transportation and not drive a car when dating my (now) wife, at least for the first several dates. I wanted to make sure she liked me for what I am, not my possessions (owning a car at my age was quite ra

Did not want to repeat myself. :-) Every source is biased. It is up to the reader to understand the biases, read from differently-biased sources and then make up his/her minds.

You can't win - if you enjoy watching a sport with females participating in it, you are a "creep". If you watch men's diving you are "obviously gay". Please, please do hug your nieces (and nephews).

There are trustworthy reporters, the challenge is to find trustworthy reporters who will be heard by the masses . As much as I like The Intercept, for example, they do not have the same reach as the WSJ or the NYT.

There are ~1800 police officers (out of 3185 listed in the DB) in MA alone who make > $100K [1]. Not too shabby either. Also, to make $300K at Google you have to be a genius, to make $200K as a State Trooper, no college degree is requir

Being a policeman can be a tough, dangerous job. But I don't think they are underpaid, at least not in Massachusetts - Police Trooper, 1st class can make $130K-$180K. They also get generous pensions (state employees).

Yes, it is different - the economy is in the dumpster. Official reports herald 1-2% GDP growth rate, but if you realize the inflation is more like 5-6% rather than the official 2% , the economy has, in reality been contracting .
