If you always clear browsing data on exit, then what difference does having a reject all button make?

It is absolutely astounding to me that society has devolved to the point where it is a mainstream position to believe that having unelected bureaucrats create and enforce laws is required to keep the country together.

At least drop the GPA requirement. I found most homework annoying and unnecessary, so I skipped it but I aced the tests. Frustrated the hell out of my parents and teachers and led to lower overall grades, but I learned everything I needed t

There's no way to own a physical "slice" of fiber optic cable. The wavelengths all travel together, and there are optical splitters/combiners at each end that separate/combine the wavelengths of light. Think of them

Some NICs and managed switches can do it as well. Well, I should say that most can do it (as in the hardware is capable) but only some actually expose the functionality.

It's one big cable with eight individual fibers. But they aren't fused by divers, the cable will be brought to the surface and fused onboard the repair ship.

You pull it up to the surface and fuse it on the boat.

Show me a law on the books in any state that would outlaw abortion in the case of rape. Obviously it would be a "trigger law" since states can't actually have such a law right now, but no such law exists as far as I'm aw

Let's not mince words: "batshit insane" are the people you disagree with, and "somewhat reasonable" are the people you agree with. You completely mischaracterize the side you disagree with, and then excuse the side

You're misinterpreting it. CALEA requires that service providers have the capability to do interceptions when requested by law enforcement. It has absolutely nothing to do with end-user devices.

How so? Unless you own a router with CALEA capabilities and specifically configure it to log all of your data, it's not going to snitch on you.

The restrictions that some states put on gun purchases/ownership have are quite excessive and onerous, and may end up being struck down by a SCOTUS decision coming down within the next few months.

According to Roe v. Wade, abortion is covered by the 14th Amendment. Which is ludicrous regardless of how you feel about abortion.

Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with a thing someone owns calling the cops on them. A CALEA intercept would be implemented before the data reaches the end user.

Not having to load yet another JS library on your page if you don't really need it is a pretty good argument, I'd say.

For basic interaction, you don't need anything but vanilla JS. Browsers have come a long way since the days where jQuery was almost necessary to deal with all of the minor differences/bugs in various browsers.
