I’d probably go with “e^pi*i = -1”. Kinda cliched, but I really love that equation.

Couldn't you just mmap a binary final with the same in-memory structure rather than a text file?

The sublime text/merge team has some interesting discussion about using it that way: https://www.sublimetext.com/blog/articles/use-mmap-with-care

Probably has something to do with the size. I'd imagine covering a country like Denmark or Ireland is considerably easier and cheaper for a smaller company then covering the US would be.

I assumed we were talking about them "relicensing" the content from the all-rights-reserved-whatever to cc-by-sa. In hindsight that was poor wording on my part because it wouldn't actually be "relicensing" since the

The money isn't the important part. I should have just left that part out. The important part is where SO says "by posting content you agree to license it to us, and we agree to relicense it as cc-by-sa." I didn't unders

Eh, I don't know. Posting content under the terms that it will be licensed under cc-whatever seems pretty different from trying to relicense software you have paid a company to use.

The SO content is licensed under cc by-sa 4.0, so theoretically someone could take it all and start again. Might work with enough of the resigning moderators behind it. But I don't think anyone could get enough of them behind it.

My understanding is that you are absolutely correct. That's why you shouldn't use locks on the real-time audio thread.

To add to this comment, if you find you do in fact want to make a change, one way to help accomplish that change is through the Future Authoring Program [1]. It's basically a writing exercise where you write out what your life will be

I mean, you could just make a folder with a text file in it for each issues. People can write comments in it. Move them into a "complete" folder when done. Write down who it's assigned to at the top. You wouldn't get som

Left only shortcuts because of the implementation of the map function. There could just as easily be mapLeft and mapRight functions instead, allowing you to choose the shortcut behaviour.

I once had a little red mp3 player manufactured by ilo. One of the most reliable pieces of hardware I every owned - the thing just worked. Drop some files on it, and it played them. That simple. Wish it were as easy on my smartphone.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't sassc require the user to compile it?

I recently built a new website from scratch after about three years working in other software areas. Found to my surprise that I came back with some very different opinions about how CSS should be structured than I had in my web dev days, a

Not sure what it's like today, but last time I tried to use sassc it was a nightmare. The official repo was just the library with no CLI. I couldn't find a CLI that didn't also require me to compile it myself. Very frustratin

Elm is an example of a language that literally can not produce NPEs. I use Rust on a daily basis and while it "technically" can produce one, I've never seen one.

In general, yes. But there are still some things you can do. The Elm package repository, for example, looks at the type signatures of all of the public functions. If there are no changes from the last version, it bumps the patch version. If

I've built a fairly large MMO unity project. The worst part of the process was the editor. Godot is a much more plesant experience.

I was in your boat about five or six years ago. Programming was fine, CSS was kinda-not-really ok, and design was just non-existent. Over time though, it really is something you can learn. I started by cloning designs in CSS that I liked. S
