How do you save the NY Times from itself? Seems like they're in the same hole. Every country has strong public radio and tv, but in the US they are mostly run by private organizations with agendas. So why is this in the NY Times?

Sure, but you have the option of saying "Undisclosed" right? Seems like a lot of startups use funding rounds for PR. I wanted to know if 120k is sustainable for more than 6 months or these startups have something else going for

Worst a recruiter can do is call your company's main line and ask to speak to you (found your name on LinkedIn). And then they're like: "Hi Jay, how are you?" like you're best buddies.

I see it the other way around. I think Facebook and Twitter's goals are to disrupt that kind of chaos with their "trending" section. While these platforms can be used to mobilize, they can pinpoint exact location of unrest

Sorry, but if we are to learn from history, there is no hiding place in the world. Barricading yourself in a bunker would be like building your own prison. How long could anyone really survive before emerging back? And if the super rich

The problem is honesty isn't rewarded anymore. Someone working hard will be beaten by someone who tells all the fancy stuff...I know a lot of startups that raised millions, but their tech and growth is totally non-existent. I did som

Uber will be successful, but the problem is right now there is no barrier to entry in the market. They're pushing Lyft to spend more on marketing in order to get shares. Uber has a huge chance of taking over public transportation and

At least you get free food. My wife and I are fighting about this all the time. It's extremely tough to just work home and not meet other people. You'll need to socialize somehow. You go crazy otherwise. Your spouse will even

The more you contemplate these questions, the least likely you are to do anything. The only question I think is valuable is: "How many months can you go without a paycheck?" I think the original idea is seldom where most startup

Even if I had legal expertise, I would include a disclaimer to take it as my opinion/guess...Google's lawyers could easily come at me with 'Hey how do you know this?' That's why I said 'probably'. Read Pe

Anti-trust probably...Google doesn't want to be seen as a monopoly even though it has a monopoly on search. One less lawsuit. No ads at the top also. Since the user is looking for a search engine on Google, it could mean they'r

This is not true. Some professions are based on screwing the current client and moving on to the next one. How many times do you get to buy a house? This is why most people use an agent to sell their house. They can lie without seeming

I think WebRTC is secure by default and everything is supposed to be encrypted and served over https...Chrome for example doesn't allow unsecure usage of the API's. See this for more: http://webrtc-security.github.io

In all honesty, you can learn a ton of things in 1 year doing a startup that you'd learn in 20 years working for a big company...even if it fails. Marketing, selling, talking to customers, coding, etc. In most big companies you don&#

It would take many cameras working together to pull this off...what happens when you drop out of sight? Feels like a big vending machine...If they're not competing with big grocery stores, then this won't scale well...right?
