Administering a policy with a ton of loopholes and exceptions almost always becomes a rotting, horrible thing. Look at tax codes. You need exceptions for 90 million people? How does that get enforced, generally? Even though no one has menti

Well I agree with your first example. But would you call someone who wins a supposedly drawn endgame after 100 moves a tactical player or positional player? No one I know would claim that what happened on the 100th move was a tactic. It was

What? Facebook built react to solve these problems. When they built Luna stuff like react didn't exist. Investing in developer tooling including frameworks is a fine use of time and often pays off hugely. There wasn't a better alt

I would doubt that any company would take such a bet now. If not Google, then why would, say, Shopify stand a better chance? I'm an entrepreneur from Toronto and I won't bet the next three years on my life on a municipal governmen

I think you're off base. It's simply not runway at this point. That like 200 years of runway at their peak losses. It's pretty simple why they have such a big cash pile. They literally don't have a better place to put it

I think you might be misinterpreting him. When I read that, "full of stuff" meant old tickets, process that you had to go to, etc. Slow =/= app performance but general cruft. I don't think he literally meant that the app

The best jobs? Granted I don't know what "the best jobs" are in Victoria, but that seems surprising. Are there big tech offices in Victoria? If there aren't good jobs there then it's a different story.
