Looks like the majority of it is the same as what aired, just with some alternative edits. Which makes sense as the guy was an editor for the show. These aren’t “unseen” episodes etc.

IRC was home to a lot of gaming communities, it was basically Discord before that existed. There used to be live commentary in channels (Twitch replaced this). I don’t believe any gamers use it today but fringe-tech communities still use it

Something like that would be highly sensitive to the butterfly effect (especially considering all the tech stocks and the time traveller leaving behind technological information). This is why I’m guessing events off-planet is the highest vo

We are working on a W3C proposal to hopefully improve both the DX and UX of setting dark/light so that developers can avoid hacks around FOUC, doubling up all CSS and needing JS on every page load to check the state. You can read more

A large bulk of those downloads are coming from downstream packages (handlebars-helpers), I don’t think developers are pulling this in directly.

Dependents doesn’t order by download count though, you don’t know which of the 46 dependents are downloading it the most.

Sadly not and I think this is an important question because I’m sure the majority of those downloads are coming from some downstream packages that everyone is using. Ordering and showing dependent-downloads would be useful in security issue

You answered your own question. It’s less known about, by the time the #rrggbbaa syntax came out people would use rgba() for alpha. Some would also argue the rgba() syntax is more readable when alpha is involved. If alpha support came out w

They’re not the same and I don’t think they’ve ever been synonymous with each other (or at least not by people who work in the Broadcasting industry). Red Button is the service that replaced teletext/ceefax in 2012. Teletext was an ana

I think Helix have gone the right way around with their priorities. They've started by making the right things built-in that most developers would need on a day-to-day basis. It's already better than configuring vim/neovim in

As far as I understand, none of the real time chats are searchable, I don’t know why Discord keeps getting singled out in this area.

It’s 2024, people aren’t going to go out of their way to setup “bouncers” to keep up with conversation that happens when they’re not online or leave their computer running 24/7. Yes there’s irccloud to do it for you but you need to pay

I don’t know why this always surprises people, Discord was more closer to real time chat than a forum. What real time chats have ever been indexed? IRC wasn’t (without a bot, which most channels never really bothered to do), Zulip isn’t, Ma

Most of the tech subreddits I visit are still there, people still talk in them, one or two mods and well known posters may have left but they’ve also been replaced by others. The casual subreddits have mostly re-opened and people have carri

I agree, I would love to see something modern that works for devs today and isn’t just a port of something that was put together in the past. Helix feels like a cli VSCode to me, in the sense it has TreeSitter and LSP built-in and support f

I don’t buy that. I also find it funny the one example you use are comedians (not actors) who are probably doing something very stereotypical. Dominic West and Idris Elba are both English and often cited as 2 examples of British actors ever
