It's pretty strange to me that we imagine a world where AI can handle every problem but we still talk about code. It's like how the Jetson's had bulky TVs. You don't talk about all the assembly high level languages make

You keep saying reduce regulation and then bring up things like adding permitting and taxing certain processes which is regulation. The other thing you're not understanding is how the state can enforce regulations and how the federal g

Honestly, it's not even the learning curve. It's easy. Most people can think precisely enough to program. The difference is that we enjoy sitting in a chair for ~8 hours a day laying dominoes. A lot of folks do not like that.

I was actually just going to do that with an old Galaxy S24. Seems like there's no easy way to add something like docker. Best I can find is to try to use qemu to get a full Linux VM. Do you happen to know what kind of performance yo

Not every request is idempotent and its not known when or why a request has failed. GETs are ok (in theory) but you can't retry a POST without risk of side effects.

Slack is an hilarious example. I can't wait for orgs to try to vibe roll their own dozen clients, security models, and then try to talk to handle external integrations of some kind.

Once we did that we'd have a lot less personal influence over that spending budget, at least. But focusing on current assets and not accumulation of wealth is misleading. You'd also have to allocate the ongoing wealth accumulatio

Ok it prints some stuff at the end but does it actually count the output tokens? That part was already built in somehow? Is it just retrying until it has enough space to add the footer?

Honestly, it never was. Personal projects not withstanding, if there is a product that should always be the focus. Code is only a means to that.

In theory you could use a protocol like this, one where the tools are specified in the page, to build a human readable but structured dashboard of functionality. I'm not sure if this is really all that much better than, say, a swagger

Crypto didn't need vram did it? It was just about hash rate no? Besides, a 1080 had 8GB, a 5080 has 16GB. Double in 10 years isn't ground breaking. The industry put VRAM into industrial chips. It didn't make it to consumer

You pass in the --config param to import it. Exporting this way might be possible but it wouldn't be as useful seeing as it would just grab everything you have installed instead of some minimal set used by some project.

One major difference is the code has an owner who might consider what needs a test or ask questions if they don't understand. To argue that all work is fungible because perfection cannot be achieved is actually a pretty out there take.

Yeah, seems like this is just ignorance around .vsconfig files. Makes life way easier. You can also just use the VS Build Tools exe to install things instead of the full VS installer, if you plan to use a different IDE.

Curl the VS Build tools exe, then run the build tools command to install what's in the .vsconfig.
