Agreed -- Just looking for individual spikes in the harmonic spectrum is naive. However, I think even if you have a good idea of which instrument it is there are other factors involved which could make matching a generic instrument model mo

In Phoenix, Arizona the major streets vaguely relate to the location. The layout is a big grid (for the most part). The north-south streets are numbers and east-west streets are named (you need to memorize the order). There is a central ave

I very much agree. Last Christmas I gave my kids one mod install each. Earlier in the year I helped them once which set a bad precedent :). I cut them off telling them to wait until Christmas. Since then they've discovered some minecra

I fully agree. This is one aspect of the common keyboard layout that makes me sad: you have to learn many different patterns for every key. With this you only need to learn functional patterns (major, minor, etc.) and suddenly you know them

Gatto seems to prefer the well-honed live performance to the recorded performance that may have worked on the 100th take. This is a matter of taste. It's also difficult to judge the skill of a performer in a recording (are they that go

There certainly is some money in juggling. The article mentioned 50k starting salary at cirque du soleil. But maybe working in concrete lets him spend more time with his family for roughly the same amount of money (or more).

Very impressive. The only other javascript renderer I know of is vexflow ( http://www.vexflow.com/ ). I think the output of yours is superior (the vexflow slurs and ties are way too heavy among other issues). Any reason you d

Can you explain this more? From what I understand the original function has division by '0' at those specific values of 'x'. So the final reduced form has a different domain where it is valid.

Apparently these are called 'desire paths' or 'desire lines' ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desire_path ). I've heard this story as well. From this conversation ( http://ask.metafilter.

WebPositive is based on Webkit (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebPositive ). I'm fairly sure you're right about firefox. The only version for beos (that I know of) is a port of firefox 2 (see http:/&#

It works amazingly well. However don't split windows then use ctrl-w j to switch. The browser captures ctrl-w first and closes the tab. Other ctrl-* combinations don't work probably for similar reasons.

I wouldn't recommend using this structure directly since it requires the project to have a specific structure. There are some scheme callbacks in the writeSpaceTimeDumper function which you can use directly to extract the information t
