They did make sense. Cobook, sparrow, etc. There was one that surprised me at first. I think it was Xcode.

It was really annoying on the first run. Tons of apps were asking for my permission to access my contacts. (And by tons I mean 6 or 7).

They are pretty cool for mid-size groups. They won TechCrunch 50 (or were a finalist) the year I went.

The outrage over this seems rediculous to me. How many people complaining about email open tracking are also Sendgrid customers? Use email newsletter service? Your emails may have open tracking (including who opened it) without you even kno

Ok, it may have been tongue-in-cheek, but I was serious. I love that there are so many great cloud hosting solutions now. I honestly don't want to run servers.

This is not a very cohesive argument. Basically he is suggesting that we are going to see tiered pricing in all retail, but doesn't explain what the tiers will be based on. A more likely scenario? Price will equal convenience. Retail stores

You can say that. Like stonemetal said, you don't want to throw out the first numbers, but you can say: "I am looking for a salary that is consistent with the responsibilities and duties of the position." Good employers know that if they r

I am in a pretty similar boat (analytics, coder, understand business side). I am the sole founder of bizen.com. Went through Jumpstart Foundry in Fall 2010. It is hard going it alone. I think that I will succeed, but having a co-founder (es

There have been several comments on here lately that make me realize how few people actually understand how equity works in startups. I mean, if people are shocked to learn about preferred stock, what would they think about participating pr
