Yes, being insulin dependent means you would require taking insulin like a type 1. Only a doctor can tell you if you need to go that route though. I'm assuming they make that decision based on your HbA1c being high or going higher des

Amen to this. I'm a parent of a T1D and if I had a dollar for every time I've heard "My cousin cured his diabetes with diet!" I'd be a very rich man. Or, and this may sound petty, but listening to someone equate the

Type 1 is an auto-immune disease. Type 2 is not and cannot become type 1, though you might become insulin dependent at some point.

Same story here. Aspirating bile is the worst, that awful soap taste, the burning when breathing. For me, cutting gluten and fried foods out of my diet entirely minimized my stomach woes. The gluten thing came about after I was tested for

A lot of storage services have S3 compatible APIs. Minio, Google Cloud Storage (when in interop mode) also can be accessed with S3 libraries/SDKs (you have to change the endpoint for it to work). And they aren't 100% compatible.

I got a DVT on a flight from Saigon -> NYC. Fell asleep for 9 hours with my leg folded under me. DVT is gone now, but still dealing with the repercussions. I ended up getting Schamberg's disease as a side effect of Xarelto, so bot

Hmm. First phone I loved is a toss up between the Treo 600 and the Startac, though leaning mostly towards the Treo. I still miss that keyboard.

I use an orico BT-104 dongle and have working handoff, iMessage, etc. Wasn't a hassle at all, just plugged it in. iMessage was actually a bit more work because you need to generate a "serial" for your clover config, otherwis

I use mine every day for work. If you build using Clover only, you can upgrade as soon as Nvidia releases new web drivers (for point updates) straight through the App Store. The only issue is SceneKit based apps.

My main desktop is a hackintosh. It took maybe an afternoon to build, and then a few more hours to get running. It's been running solid ever since. Everything works (thunderbolt 3, usb 3, sound, airdrop, iMessage, handoff, etc) except

Side note, gluten intolerance and diabetes type 1 often go hand in hand. When my kid was diagnosed, they tested both of us for a whole bunch of things. I came back gluten intolerant and he, luckily, did not. Celiac is another thing that

Hmm. I live in Vietnam and fly out of country once or twice a month and I've never been asked to take an iPad out of my bag. I fly SGP, SGN, BKK, TPE. SGN did have me remove my shoes last time I flew though, which was a first.

I have a Mi 5s Plus. It's pretty good build quality, screen is nice, camera not so much. MIUI is pretty good too. I'm not an Android user though, so my experience is somewhat limited with regards to what else is out there.

I've done the same and it's a great way to go. If you stick with known components in known configurations, it's easy to get working. Relatively anyways.

It's not competitive at all to a hackintosh. I have an i7 overclocked to 4.6 GHz, 64GB of RAM, 6GB GPU and it was almost $1400 cheaper. It took maybe a day and a half to put together (the last PC I put together out of parts was a pent
