Didn't see that coming at all. Honestly, I'm surprised we haven't seen this story earlier, or maybe stories about getting robbed, etc. While I would love a society where trust is perhaps more freely given and received, we don't live in that

I'm pretty sure my karma will take a hit here. Apple is hardly the new Microsoft. Microsoft's developer relations are bar none the best for any commercial entity or platform I've ever developed for. That's not saying their API's or SDK's

HeavyMetal uses something similar that provides similar functionality, but maintains the explicit declarations to keep your codebase organized as well as directory portable: uses('system.app.view'); This includes the View class from the /sy

This is cool and all, but I'm really wondering to myself if it is really necessary? Every AIR app I've run across (Flash or HTML based) has always ended up in the trash can. Either it's too slow, too obtuse, inconsistent user experience fr

Then use SQLite, MySQL is overkill for this situation. Or better yet, use any of the FREE versions of SQL Server specifically slotted for the desktop.

I can't think of one good reason why you would use MySQL on Windows. I know this seems trollish, but it's the honest to goodness truth. Either way, it's not likely Windows is all that significant in terms of MySQL usage or you'd be seeing

Log analysis is a major PITA, specifically if you're operating a farm of web servers like we do. We use an epic shit ton of realtime stats (Woopra, Mint, GA) so we have most needs covered and have a real time view into what's going on. We
