results = database.query(from table select column) That is a bold take these days. You will take a lot of flak if any of the parts just happens to barely look like SQL. Either you are on the ORM side or on the wrong side.

OCaml is also from 1996. And I say 2005 because that's when I started using it, not when it started being useful. By that time it supported parametric generics, multiple inheritance, named parameters, optionals instead of nulls everywh

OCaml would like to have a word with you. In 2005 it already had better static analysis and correctness on object oriented stuff than what Java struggles to approach today. But Java has better marketing.

And now you have invented a helper class when all you needed is a namespace. And you already had namespaces.

Not everything can be associated to a single entity. Many operations work on two or more entities where none of them are the "master". Otherwise you end up with "coordinators". Users.create(...) is the easy case. Try tra

You know, the thing about standards is that there are many. https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc7231#section-5.3.2 Checking the HTTP headers is the HTTP standard.

The last time we updated react we had to do it because we were using a version so old it had been unsupported for several years. While also using modern components and libraries.

Custom bundler + telemetry already included. Smells way too much like Microsoft, too much like lock-in with a deal that gets worse and worse.

On most SQL databases, you can put CHECK constraints on columns so that the database rejects events. But this is controversial, as people don't like putting logic on the DB.

What I have read about it is: encrypt PII with a client-depending key, do not post the key to the event system. When an erasure request comes in, delete the corresponding key. Now the data cannot be decrypted anymore for that client.
